9. Fiskars 75 gallon Eco Compost Bin 5705

I’m really fond of the Fiskars Eco Compost Bin 5705. It’s really lightweight and easy to set up. Even when it was upside down, it was simple to lift it up. The metal stakes that come with this compost bin keeps it staying straight. The container is just the right size for all the compost I add to it on a daily basis.

Discovering this compost bin was a really excellent solution. After I got it, I found a really nice spot for it in my yard, and the compost bin really complemented and completed the scene. It’s really easy not only to add in more layers of waste, but also to get mixing every now and then.

In the end, I’m honestly really happy with this compost bin, because it’s doing what I wanted it to do. Plus, the way it’s set up is just great.

8. Cooler Kitchen Oversized 1.3 Gallon Kitchen Compost Bin with Charcoal Filters

Oversized 1.3 Gallon Kitchen Compost Bin with Charcoal Filters

This compost bin is just what I was looking for to add to both my kitchen and garden. I’ve considered using the scraps that come from my preparation and cooking of food for a very long time, and in the past I even would collect all the scraps and store them in one place, but they’d just end up in the trash eventually.

When I first came across this compost bin, I knew it was just what I needed. It’s just large enough to hold in two days’ worth of food scraps, which is the capacity that’s just right for me.

It’s amazing that absolutely no smell comes out of it, and it’s really to take out the container for cleaning, to prepare for the next day’s worth of scraps. This compost bin makes it really fun to do gardening, and it makes me feel really good inside that I’m using scraps from food to make even more food.

7. Cook N Home Stainless Steel Kitchen Compost Bin

Cook N Home Stainless Steel Kitchen Compost Bin

First, the stainless steel aesthetic and overall look of this compost bin. It really matches the decor of my kitchen and blends really well with everything else in there.

The tall and thin compost bin container stands out on top of my counter, without taking up that much space. I’ve positioned it to be within reach and easy to get and bring straight to the compost pile. Smells have never come out of it, thanks to the built-in filler at the top.

The compost bin container is holding up in a really good way, and works very well as a clean and green recycling bin. Another great thing about this compost bin is that it has a handle.

No bugs, flies, or any kind of pest have tried to get at or gather around the compost bin, which I think is thanks to the very effective carbon filter. The filter has honestly lasted really long, and I plan to get long-lasting refills for it.

To sum it up, I just really like this compost bin. I’ve used so many different compost bins and in the end, ants and other insects have always entered and invaded them. One big thank-you from me for everyone who helped make this bin a reality.

6. Presto Products 1 X Geobin Compost Bin

This compost bin has provided so much value to me. It’s dead simple, very affordable for what it does and what it’s made of, and it just works. To be frank, it never really made any sense to me to spend several hundred dollars just for a compost bin, which is the average market price of most of them.

The most effective alternative option I can think of to this amazing compost bin, is to make your very own compost bin from wire fence or hardware cloth, which I heard is a good working option and something that I considered doing myself, before discovering this excellent compost bin option.

This compost bin is way easier and simpler to use and even looks better, and complement the aesthetic design of the property that I use it in. It only costs slightly more than a compost bin that you can make yourself.

5. Lifetime 60058 Compost Tumbler

Lifetime 60058 Compost Tumbler

The first step of assembling the Lifetime 60058 Compost Tumbler was very simple and easy. When I was building it, I really liked the whole design and the perfect way all the parts were built on top of and next to each other.

I didn’t really check out the directions at first – I just really wanted to immerse in the experience of using my very first compost tumbler right away. I went on to mow up stray bunches of dry leaves all over the place, several dead weeds scattered here and there, stacks of grass all around, and the wood chips and food scraps from the kitchen, using my lawnmover.

After gathering all this stuff up, I dumped all of it straight into the compost bin. It was very spacious, holding more than enough room for all the stuff I loaded into it, handling several batches and more. I also added several gallons of water inside.

The near-freezing temperatures late at night did not slow down the microbes taking action on all the stuff dumped in there. In the morning, when I got up to check how the compost bin is doing and what progress has been made, cloud-shaped batches of vapor emerged from the warm bundles contained inside.

I’m very happy with how things turned out. It was really easy to mix up all of the stuff inside and the compost bin was able to hold a lot of material in. The bin was able to keep a good amount of moisture, and it was also able to channel oxygen in a very creative way that allowed complete aerobic support, allowing everything inside to undergo decomposition.

The compost bin was also very durable and held fast, and all these benefits and more all up to a value that is well worth the price. I’m considering not only buying a second compost tumbler, but even a third, to provide full support for my very large backyard.

4. OXO Good Grips Compost Bin

The OXO Good Grips Compost Bin is relatively affordable and within our budget. It’s a surprisingly sturdy little bin that manages to solve issues ahead of time that you wouldn’t even notice, unless you’ve been using lesser quality products for a long time.

The surface inside is really smooth and the walls merge with the floor with a flowing curve, so nothing ever gets stuck to the bottom and it’s much easier to rinse. The tab by the edge in the hinged lid’s front makes it easy for you to add to the content, and just dump more stuff in straight – all without every having to touch any of the waste or the surface.

The hinge on the lid lets the lid move through 180 degrees, and it locks in place when it’s traveled the whole way in preparation for dumping. The lid’s seal is very loose, and prevents the stuff inside from splashing and lashing out regardless of the way you open up the compost bin.

You can also remove the lid right at the hinge, which makes it convenient to place the pail and lid in position for rinsing beneath a faucet. The pail’s shape allows the compost bin to be placed beneath the sink, all while the footprint is kept low.

3. Envirocycle Composting Tumbler Bin and Compost Tea Maker

The Envirocycle Composting Tumbler Bin is one of the most useful and precious tools we’ve used for our garden for so many years now, and itstill produces impressive results despite the low quality of the soil we have. We frequently put all of our kitchen waste through the composting process, and it always gives us amazing compost to work with.

The liquid that this compost bin produces in the base is top-notch and can even be drained out directly. Best of all, the solid waste we throw in there into the container finishes decomposing only after a few days, and we throw in all sorts of stuff – bones, broken off twigs, old and decaying fruit, food we cooked, leftover food, leaves lying around, dog manure, all kinds of solids and liquids – all of this stuff goes in the Envirocycle compost bin.

Stuff that looks like thick black sludge comes out around every two weeks, which we then mix with the dirt and soil of all of our plants, even our trees. The result is every single one of our plants is blooming. The trash never smells, either, nor does anything ever go to waste. Even with our rather extensive usage, it still rocks.

2. Yimby Tumbler Composter

The Yimby Tumbler Composter is really easy to assemble and get running, and can be put to use almost instantly. So far it’s been performing great and just doing really well in general. The first side finished up all of the compost, and the second side is on the way to fully processing another batch of compost.

The compost processing was started in this compost bin finished up and got fully ready in only two months. Compost becomes ready for use in less than two (2) months.

Even though I constantly added more stuff into the compost bin for a whole month, with only me tumbling to and fro, and turning it over and back, every now and then with long intervals in between – all of the compost still finished up in only two months. It’s amazing.
